Together We Make It Happen!

Our September 10 meeting speaker!
Anne Newman speaking on
the Baylor Freedom School,
Literacy or Indoctrination in Waco Texas Summer Literacy Camp?

Have you heard about the Baylor Freedom School controversy that occurred this summer? Come join us for our September meeting as our guest speaker, Anne Newman – a favorite of ours for her political activism on protecting our children – from SpeakUpTX will be here to talk to us about what some of our children in Waco have been exposed to through the Baylor Freedom School under the guise of a “Summer Literacy Camp,” without parent’s knowledge or consent. She will bring us up to date on what happened and the ongoing fight for change.

Anne came to Waco in July to speak against the “Literacy Program” at a Transformation Waco School Board meeting along with several MCRW members. She brought to their attention the egregious material used in the program.

The controversy made the local news, local newspaper, Breitbart, the College Fix, and a national radio show “Point of View”.

The program is a project of the leftist Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) in partnership with the Baylor School of Education, Waco ISD, Transformation Waco, Prosper Waco, and the City of Waco. Learn how the Southern Poverty Law Center is involved.

This initiative is quietly spreading across the country led by the Children’s Defense Fund. Other Texas programs are in Dallas and Austin.
